American Idol Power Rankings (Week 2)

Busy week this week but I hope to get my Mock Draft finalized and put out. I decided I would have to get my AI power rankings out before this week kicked off so here we go.


1. Allison Iraheta

Lil Rounds may be the most talented in this contest, but Allison gets the nod because she has blown it away two weeks in a row. I'm really interested to hear what she has in store for us this week.

2. Lil Rounds

As I said Lil Rounds is still probably the most talented in this contest, and she did very well with "The Way you make me feel" last week, but Allison has been impressive both times which is why she got the nod at the top spot.


3. Danny Gokey

Danny was great in week 1 and solid again in week 2. Allison, Lil, and Danny make up the top shelf of this contest and no one is close. I really like Danny and he should be alright as the weeks go along.


4. Alexis Grace

If Danny, Lil Rounds, and Allison are the top shelf, Alexis is just a step behind them. I think she's really a darkhorse to win this whole thing.

5. Matt Giraud

There is still something about this guy I don't like but he's pretty talented. He's really got the singer/songwriter/piano player thing down and has some real soulfulness.

6. Kris Allen

Alot of turnover going on in this part of the list from last week, but alot of people weren't as good and others improved. Kris is a really good showman on the stage and has a good vibe in the Jason Mraz mold.


7. Anoop Desai

I'm a big Anoop fan and last week he was terrible, but I could only drop him this far. I still believe he has a lot of talent, but he has to pick better songs.


8. Adam Lambert

I heard people rave about this guy last week and I still don't get it. He's got talent and range but he over-sings and screams through his songs. To be clear the only reason he moved up is because others that would be here, didn't do well.


9. Scott Macintyre

I was high on this guy at firist but his act is beginning to run old. He's really talented and has overcome alot, but he doesn't pick the right songs and kind of brings the room down with his songs.


10. Michael Sarver

I said last week I probably overrated this guy because he's from Texas and I was right. He's just nothing special, and those faces he makes while singing are very weird and akward. He wont go for a while because people like him.


11. Megan Joy

The only thing Megan has going for her is that she's hot. Other than that she's really not that good and doesn't make smart song choices.
